Keeping The Best Sketch Challenge

Heya girls! Hope you are all having an awesome week. Dropping in to share a layout I have done for the sketch challenge at Keeping The Best. Got my mixed media grunge on for this one, love love playing with this style!!

I have a heap of journalling on the back of this one....So just in case your wondering what I mean by my title, 'Make Me Feel Something'. I am referring to scrapping. I love looking at other people's pages, getting a glimpse into their lives, their thoughts, their techniques, their styles. And what I love most, is pages that make me feel something. I could scroll through 100 pretty pages on scrapbook.com and not look any closer and then you come across one that makes you want to know more. To see the closeups, to visit their blog, to read the journalling, to wish you could scrap like that...anything really.  And funny enough these pages may not be ones that are the 'big name' scrappers or even in a style that is 'your cup of tea', just people that are innovative and creative and make you go WOW! I love seeing people's work that gives me an emotional response...it's one of the best things about this craft!

So anyway... Have a great weekend girls. I'll be back shortly with some more layouts =)

  10. Oh wow, this is sensational I love the colour, the stamping, your pic. It all blends so nicely. You see, THIS is the sort of page you are talking about. I totally feel the same way and a page like this, I would ponder over and see just how you did it and wish that I could create something like it. I love pages that are totally out of my comfort zone and inspire me to try something new.

  11. Well you got me!! I have sat here and gone wow! I love this style you do.. I love how the color goes from one shade and slowly flows into the next shade.. and you are right about the emotion that a layout evokes.. sometimes one of delight, one of sadness, one of joy, but the ones that do move you are the ones you remember, and they aren't always from the well known scrappers either... Look forward to seeing what else you have been up to!

  19. I agree with the rest..your work says something to me! Yeap..you are right..I often see "big name's" work and there is nothing..just a small photo hidden by embellishments (often the same photo over and over)...and then I see a LO by chance and I fall in love! I must admit though that many times, due to time limits, I also make layouts that don't have an interesting story to tell...I'll try to fix that!
    Hugssss!!!!!!!!!!!
    xoxo
