Happy Monday morning everyone! First things first..a layout to share for the new challenge at Glitz Design & Get Creative. At both of these sites this month the theme is all about Mum's, with the added use of flowers at Get Creative. I had lots of fun with these challenges and it was also a good excuse to purge my flower stash which I seem to be using less and less of these days. I have used the French Kiss range from Glitz along with a Pretty In Pink stamp for my title. I have also used a Prima mask that I won in a blog giveaway from the very talented, Erin Blegen (thanks Erin!)
Speaking of flowers, if you drop by here on a regular basis you probably would have noticed that my scrapping style is well...a little schizophrenic . I can go from uber girlie ladden with flowers to super grungy mixed media in a heart beat. I love all styles ( not so much clean & simple) and have never been able to choose just one. I have always beaten myself up about this, feeling like I really just need to pick a style and stick to it. A small amount of time I think... maybe this is an advantage as I can work with most products out there?
I have noticed more though I am moving away from modern romantic and enjoying a more eclectic arty style of scrapping. I would call this style, Scrappers Scrapping. In other words, unless you scrap yourself you probably would look at it and think it looks like an unholy mess. I really like how this style feels more creative ( not to mention it is always a bonus when you don't have to drop $20 worth of flowers on a page!). So I have heaps of new ranges and products on their way, which 6 months ago I never would have thought of buying and can't wait to start experimenting. It could be a total disaster or I might be able to finally 'find' my style =)
Have an awesome day guys! TFL xox
I REALLY Admire & found it FULLY Inspiring that you don't have a Certain Style!!! I'm the same too & I have Question my Style a couple of times now!!! BUT! ATM I'm fine with no title/Style to my Creations...
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Moo! Chloee (my girl) has this same nick name! Too Funny! not for this reason thou!
Both Layouts are are Brilliant.... ♥
Yep, agree with Rachael- your ability to dabble in different styles is admirable. I love to enjoy the contrast between two different layouts, just like here- your work gets better and better every day- and I just love coming here!!
ReplyDeleteGeorgia thanks for the post regarding style because I've beaten myself us not being able to say what my style is... I love simple for some of the kids pages and more fussy for the older photos or ones with the girls in them. I love both of these pages you've created.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your first page Georgia, it's Soo Beautiful!!! love the vintage photos and the soft colours. Your second page is So pretty, love the layering and the paints drops.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work as always! Take care girl! :)
well I like everything you create. You do everything well but I really LOVE the way you used to and still do the romantic style.Just me and my preference..dont worry about me LOL! You need to experiment and try different things cause you will really get sick of just the one style. :)
ReplyDeleteI always loveeeeeeeeee your style!! I loveeeeeeeeeee both of these!!! GORGEOUS!!!! I loveeeeeeeee what you did with the title on the first one!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!!! These are both totally awesome - but hands down I love the second one the most... just personal preference isn't it? I appreciate all styles of scrapping (same as you - not so much the simple style...) but it's all good and it's definately fun to experiment that's for sure! :D
ReplyDeleteHi Georgia, well I think you are mega talented to be able to scrap in a multitude of styles and they all look stunning.. I never know what brilliance I will see when I come by.. so just keep creating I say, why box yourself into a 'style'? If you 'mood' scrap then I think you are very creative and will just keep exploring and making art that will be unimaginably wonderful.. these layouts are stunning.. the layout before this post is stunning, the layouts I have seen in the mags are stunning.. your name will be so well known soon it will go international I am sure.. love what you do..
ReplyDeleteI love how you can do different styles and do them al so well! These layouts are both absolutely gorgeous! I love the romantic feel and flowers on the first one and the cute, artsy look to the second one. The twine is such a pretty detail.
