Sassy Scrapper Page Kit

Morning girls! Just dropping in for a quick share of my new page kit that just went up last night at Sassy Scrapper. Last time I looked just one left so you will need to get in quick! This is a two page kit using the new 'No Limits' range from Heidi Swapp which just arrived this week at Sassy's...

I also have another, I guess you could say, reluctant share. Every now and then I purchase a range that is completely out of my comfort zone just to test myself to see if I can create with different things. In most cases it works out well. Well this month I chose Jenni Bowlin which I have never used before. And well, this range is weird, I am sorry but it's weird! It almost got binned 3-4 times but I persisted and this is what it came out like. It was for a challenge which  I decided I won't embarrass myself and enter it...as well, I don't really like it lol. Why am I sharing then? Well I don't know, I guess it's good to show the failures as well as the successes I suppose lol

Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. I am hoping some scrappy mojo returns after a pretty lack luster week xox

  1. Georgia, the paper isn't weird...YOU'RE weird, lol!- for thinking that this layout is trash bin-worthy!! Lol~ I think it's edgy and beautiful- just like you :)!!
As for the others, what can I say? Your work is always inspiring and amazing and you truly can work every style you attempt- well done.

  2. HI Georgia, well the first two layouts are amazing.. full of masculine touches and I love them... and the third one.. well the papers are not what I would probably buy, but having said that I love the creativity and quirky -ness of this layout.. there are no rules or right or wrongs with scrapping, and the only judge of your work is yourself.. I love the close cropped square photo and I love the rest of it.. the hexagons looks great where they are, the splats look fabulous, and I think this is fantastic.. anything goes..

When I first started reading that the papers are just weird...I was starting to worry! (You'll see why in a week or so time...lol).
But then I seen your LO & thought, what's she talkin about?!?! I love it, so once again you've given me a heap of inspiration...thank you!

    1. Can't wait to see what you do with this range Linda. I am sure you will rock it much better than me! I googled my little heart out trying to find layouts done in this range for some inspiration when it all starting going south but couldn't find any! I am sure this range could be great with the right scrap style, it just wasn't mine lol xox

  9. so....the 'lost in translation' was done BEFORE you decided you disliked your LO....or after???? Sounds like that's how you felt about the JB papers:)):) Have to agree with the girls above, though. I actually like it...the contrast between the bold and the soft works really well with the photo....but my fave is the top one....love those edges & it's really got a 3D look. I LOVE bold, & you do bold really well.
