It's that exciting time again, a new month, new challenges and time for the new sketch challenge at Once Upon A Sketch. This month we have a fantastic new design team starting, so lots of fresh and innovative inspiration for everyone. And of course, I feel so honored and privileged to be staying on for another term at OUAS. YAY! OUAS is, and always be very close to my heart, even though it wasn't my first DT position, it will always feel like it to me. It is everything a challenge site should be and more!
So with that..the new challenge. The theme this month is FRIENDS! As well as using one of Nadia's gorgeous sketches....
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Friend" however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.
And here is my take:
And here is the sketch:
You may recognize the gorgeous girl in this photo, it is Nadia Cannizzo from OUAS. I am not someone who is really openly emotional about friendship/relationships and I think those that are especially important to me I tend to be very protective of. So I don't often say how I feel, especially not in a public way. But can tell you that my life is a little better for knowing Nadia and can't imagine a week going by without speaking to her. One of the many reasons OUAS is so dear to me as it gave me the opportunity to get to know her. This layout was a present for her b'day. And she sent me a beautiful handmade card and stunning canvas for mine ( our birthdays are just a week apart). Ok enough of the soppy stuff...
Up for grabs this month is our usual TON...and I mean TON of prizes and the opportunity to come back as our Guest Designer!
I look forward to seeing what you all create and I hope you head on over to OUAS and show some support for our amazing new DT. Take care everyone xox
