7 Dots Studio & 13 Arts Challenge

Hey guys :)

I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. It's a long weekend here in Australia to celebrate Australia Day and my hubbie has gone hiking. So I've taken the 'less housework to do' opportunity to hunker down in my craft room and have a go at a challenge. This layout is for the 7 Dots Studio (check it out here) & 13Arts (and here) challenges - two of my all time fav manu's :)

So the 7 Dots Studio challenge is to use geometric shapes. I am not the kind of scrapper that has big bold shapes on my layouts so I looked to the paper for inspiration. I've used the gorgeous 9th wave collection which has this cool circle pattern on alot of the papers. I drew inspiration from that and used a Crafter's Workshop Template in reverse on my background along with some Tim Holtz gear stamps & embellishments...

The 13Arts challenge is to use a sketch ( which I rotated) and to also use the word/theme 'Time'. 

I tend to be the type of person that never sets goals as I always fear failing. This year however I have, I figure the only thing worse than failing is not trying and never knowing what if? So right now, is 'My Time' to chase them instead of just waiting to see if they happen.

More Scrapmatts Designs....

Hey girls :)

Ever have those crazy weeks where you seem to be going non-stop but never actually achieve anything? Well that's me right now! I have however had time to play with some more Scrapmatts chippies as guest designer there. And this is what I created....

Scrapmatts Guest Designer & I Love Scrap Challenge

Hi guys :) 

And a big hello to the new followers I have noticed popping up the past fortnight, welcome!

I am very excited to have been invited to be a guest designer with Aussie chipboard manufacturers, Scrapmatts and today I get to show you the first of my creations using their amazing chipboard.

I have also used the current sketch at I Love Scrap as a basis for this layout.

Not only do they have really awesome detailed designs but they come colored! Yep no more worrying about breaking those detailed designs by inking, it is all done for you. And those amazing little scrapwords chipboard come looking like you have spent hours painting and shading to get them to look so good!

I have used my favourite manu, 7Dots Studio - Messy Head & Love Is In The Air collections along with lots of little bits and bobs, mostly Tim Holtz, Prima Marketing and Ingvild Bolme embellishments.

Pop & Colors #2 + A Giveaway

Once Upon A Sketch January Challenge

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and that the hangovers this morning aren't too painful!

Today I am sharing my first layout as a DT member for 2014 at Once Upon A Sketch. This is my second time around at OUAS, it was one of my very first design teams and am absolutely thrilled to have been invited back again.

So this month's theme is 'Lessons Learnt'. I have some private journalling on the back of my layout just about some major life lessons I have learnt over the years and where I want to be in 2014.

And this is Nadia's fantastic sketch...
