Classes, CSI & A New Design Team!!

Hey everyone!! 

I hope your weekend is going well so far. 

So I have a long list of things to get through so will get started...

So in response to the almost daily requests I get about classes, I have created an online class..YAY! So basically this is everything you get in a normal face to face class but you get to do it from home in your pj's or like a few girls who have already pre-ordered these kits, have a crop night using the kit & class.

So, you get a full kit with mixed media products, tutorial and tips and tricks. I have based this kit around collage layering techniques which is what I get asked most about.

Each kit is $32 which includes everything. Without having to get on a plane, book a hotel and hire a venue it is 1/2 the price of a normal class plus you get two projects instead of one and get to keep the mixed media goodies once you are done!!

So I am taking pre-orders up until the 10th June, with delivery due around the 3rd/4th week of June.  I can ship within both Australia & Internationally.

Ok next on my list is a new layout as part of my Guest Designer spot over at CSI this month. Here is the challenge...

And here is my take. At the time I didn't have any papers that matched this color palette so all my color has been added with art mediums and embellishments. Slightly different to my normal style, bit of a throw back to what I use to create12 months ago!!

And last on my list but certainly not least you may notice a new DT badge on my side bar. I am very excited to announce that I have been invited to join the uber talented team over at 2Crafty. Just LOVE LOVE their chipboard so I am sooo excited to get started to soon :)

Prima BAP & Get Creative Challenge

Hi guys :) 

My blog has been pretty quiet lately as I haven't been well and not really in the mood for scrapping. Add to that a lack of mojo and dust has been collecting in my craft room. Despite this I have missed it and decided to have a go at this months Prima BAP. Yeah not my best work but it felt good to at least get something done (haven't decided if I will actually send it in or not lol). This layout has been created using the beautiful Prima Marketing Ladybird range.

This is the sketch which I turned upside down...

I had a lot of scraps left over on my desk after this layout so I decided to put them to use and join in with a challenge over at Get Creative to make tags featuring flowers...

Altered Faux Book Box For Ingvild Bolme

Hi guys :) 

Hope everyone is doing well.
*Big wave* to all the new followers I have noticed popping up :)

I am stopping by today to share my latest design team creation for Ingvild Bolme. 

It was originally a faux book box which I have altered to create a special treasure chest for all my Ingvild Bolme embellishments.

The outside of the box has been painted with several art mediums and crackle paint around the edges. I have used Prima Lifetime Papers along with some stamping, Luminarte Twinkling H20's and a glass bead gel medium.

The wing nuts along the spine are amazing aren't they? They are from the Tiny Junkyard Findings - Special Screw Packs by Ingvild Bolme as is the cute bolts which are from the Tiny Junkyard Findings - Bolts And Nuts pack. 

I have also used an Ingvild Bolme 30mm typo bulb ( these are my all time favourite embellishment!) and an awesome Junkyard Findings etched brass typo zip. And that cute little resin bird is from Ingvild's Shabby Chic Treasures - Fly Away Collection.

On the inside I have created some pull out draws using some grungeboard which has been painted and then the front covered with the Prima Lifetime Papers along with some more stamping and art mediums and have added some heat embossed metal label holders.

Paperdvizhnik Challenge #21

Hi girls :) Two posts in one day, doesn't happen very often does it! 

Its almost 2am and I can't sleep so I figured why not...?

I spotted this challenge over at Paperdvizhnik today and decided to play along. Feels like ages since I have scrapped, maybe a week and half, which feels like forever :)

So the challenge is to use a bad photo. You might be able to tell from this shot but one side of my face in this photo was really badly overexposed due to where the sun was. I got around this by using the 'good' half of the photo and also cropping out some of the background. It is a little on the blurry side too...

CSI Guest Designer

Hi guys :)

Happy National Scrapbooking Day! 

I guess for most of us everyday is scrapbooking day but it is also nice to have one day that seems 'special'. Funny enough this coincides almost to the day of my two year anniversary since creating my very first page. Yep 2 years!! Some days it feels like I have been doing this for a lifetime and others I feel like such a newbie with so much to learn. Either way though, although it sounds corny, I can't imagine ever not doing this!

So anyways...The lovely Debbi Tehrani has asked me to be their 'Special Agent' at CSI this month and of course I said yes! So here is the current challenge...

And my take on it..

As green and pinks as way out of my comfort zone I decided to kept my composition pretty simple. My evidence is - something woven being mesh, flowers and paint. And my testimony is journalling strips :)

The design team has some amazing examples and I love the whole community feel over at CSI with forums and chat etc. So I hope you all play along this month, you have until May 12th for this challenge. You can check it out here.
