Just A Quick Share....

Afternoon ladies =) Just dropping in for a quick share. It had felt like sooo long since I have had the chance to do a challenge so I had a bit of a late one last night/this morning and got my scrap on. This one is for a scrap store challenge, to use a word starting with "G". How could I not enter when my nickname is G! Which more recently evolved into 'Miss G' in blogland ( not sure where that came from? but I kinda like it!). So here it is....Yes I think the grunge may be here to stay!

Hope everyone is well and has their scrappy mojo flowing. Thanks as always for stopping by and a huge THANK YOU to those that leave comments, they always brighten my day xox

Bird Is The Word Color Challenge

Hey girls =) Wow it feels like ages since I have done a blog post. I have been flat out for the past fortnight and haven't had a chance for any scrapping that I can share or any blog hopping and it looks like it will be the same for the next fortnight too =( I can however share with you my first ever layout as a DT member at Bird Is The Word. This fortnights challenge is to use the word 'Color' somewhere on your layout. I have also combined this with the sketch challenge at Scrap Africa.

 And this is the Scrap Africa sketch which I rotated right =)

In other scrappy news, it with great sadness that I have finished up my term as creative designer for Sassy Scrapper due to another commitment coming up in July. I have had such a wonderful time designing for Olga & her little store. I have only been with them for 3 months but was going through my work and I have completed over 20 projects! Yes 20! Olga is an absolute sweetheart and I wish her, the new DT and her store all the very best. Look at these beautiful flowers she sent me for my birthday on Wednesday...Now how many DT bosses would do that? She is just the best!

Seeing I haven't stopped by for ages and don't have much scrap wise to share I would you show you a few everyday photos from my weekend. We just got back from 3 days away at my in-laws farm up the North end of Tasmania. It poured with rain the entire time, all until a few hours before we were about to leave...

I got talked into a bit of an impromptu bush walk by hubbie that ended up in a dead end stuck in thick bush ( I am such a city girl lol)

Jess =)

Tyler =)

Macca & Mitchell (*aka the dog whisperer) - all dogs seem to make a bee line for him and within minutes are the best of mates. These two adore each other!

So that was my weekend =) I hope everyone had a great one xox

Paper Vs Scissors!

So every now and then I always get comments that I need to change my blog name from Starting To Scrap. Well I suppose when I "started' my blog, I never really thought I would still be here and not be just at a 'starting' level I suppose lol. I am so fickle, I have crossed stitched, made jewellery, played drums, speed skated..all for no more than 3 months then moved on... Oh and then there was the collecting phases, everything from cloisonne vases to everything Ralph Lauren. Nothing has really stuck the way scrapping has so I figured it is time for a change. Hence the new name.

Now tomorrow, I am going to attempt to link this to a matching URL. I warn you now I am not really IT savvy so I may well end up completely messing it all up. So if my blog vanishing into oblivion, I am still around somewhere in cyber space lol. I hope I can come and find you all again if I do.

Wish me luck xox

Sassy Scrappers & A New DT for me..YAY!!

Hey girls =) Hope you are all having a great week. Dropping in to share my latest page kit for Sassy Scrapper. It's a two page kit using the new Studio Calico range, Take Note...

This is my first time ever working with Studio Calico, a range that is predominantly aimed towards clean and simple scrappers ( i.e not me), so it was a challenge but a challenge I loved and was really excited about doing! I have purchased some for my stash to do some "just for me" pages and hit them up with lots of paint, stamps and eclectic bits and bobs that I love. A friend recently called this "Giving it the G Treatment" which I thought was hilarious, I am thinking maybe I should change my blog name to that lol.

  Olga at Sassy's has the entire range of Take Note plus Classic Calico 2 paper kits, some new SC masks and Mr Huey's to boot!

 Oh and speaking of exciting, I can now announce I will be joining the girls at one of my favorite challenge sites,  Bird Is The Word as a design team member...YAY! And I will also be staying on at Once Upon A Sketch for my 2nd term which I am so thrilled about. Nadia has an AMAZINGLY talented new team!!

 So anyway, I may be missing for a little bit, so apologizes for not getting around to as many blogs as I should. Lots going on behind the scenes here with something really exciting coming up in July that I can't wait to tell you all about plus lots of creating for different projects.

Take care and may all your layouts be knockouts =) G xox

This kit is just AMAZING, so many gorgeous things to play with, so make sure you stop by there on the 5th to see the full reveal. They also have a BIG Prima contest in the works so well worth checking out!  Until then..here are some sneaks for you.....

Apologies for the small photos. Somehow we managed to use all 200GB of broadband in just 14 days and it is taking forever to upload large files so I have had to make these tiny to work!

Once Upon A Sketch June Challenge

It's friday, my housework's done, and I am currently sitting here scrapping. Doesn't get any better than that does it? So I am just dropping in to share the Once Upon A Sketch challenge for June. As always soooo many prizes up for grabs ( too many to mention) plus the opportunity to be a guest designer! As well as using one of Nadia's gorgeous sketches, this months journalling theme is 'Bithdays'!.

Ideas for Journalling:most memorable birthday celebration for you or anyone in your family, the last birthday you celebrated and tell us your thoughts on turning this age, your child's/other family member's birthday and your thoughts on their age, a birthday that was a turning point in your life and your excitement/fears or other thoughts you had, an upcoming birthday for you or anyone and your thoughts, the best birthday present you ever received/gave and why?. You can also base your layout on a non - person birthday. This means your birthday theme can be based on : a pet, a business venture, a milestone anniversary etc etc. Its up to you how you interpret "BIRTHDAYS".

Turning 36 in less than a fortnight so I chose to scrap a fun and quirky layout to celebrate it. I have some hidden journalling which reads.."Since 35, a little fatter, a few more wrinkles, still a bit crazy, still a little insecure but a lot more comfortable being who I am!"

And here's the sketch:

Was great to see sooo many familiar and new faces at OUAS last month. And a record number of 124 entries!! Just amazing. So hope you girls keep it up and join along again this month, can't wait to see what you create!

Have an awesome week! TFL xox
